Kuwait Suspends the eVisa System for 53 Nationalities
The e-Visa in Kuwait is temporarily suspended to enhance, modernize, and improve the system for visitors. Currently, nationals from 53 countries who need a visa to Kuwait must obtain it before entry.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior states that developing an electronic visa system is necessary. As for now, there is no information about the precise timetable of modernization.

Nationals from the following countries currently can’t apply for a Kuwait eVisa:

How to Get a Visa on Arrival to Kuwait
Eligible travelers may apply for a visa upon arrival at the Kuwait City International Airport. The permit is valid for 3 months, and you need to prepare the following:
- a passport that won’t expire within the next 6 months
- a return/onward ticket to another destination
- 3 Kuwaiti dinars (KWD) for the visa fee
Note that you can’t be blacklisted by the State of Kuwait, and you must register your residential address where you stay while applying for a visa.

- Wait in line at the entry point.
- Show the documents to the immigration officers.
- Register your residential address.
- Cover the fee.

Other Visa Types to Kuwait
Sponsored Visit Visa
It’s possible to apply for a Visit Visa Sponsored by a Kuwaiti resident, company, or hotel. You must have sponsorship documentation and approval from the immigration department to get a Visit Visa.
Business Visa
If you visit Kuwait for business-related purposes, such as conferences, dealings, meetings, etc., you can apply for this visa type. Some additional documents like invitation letters and proof of business activities may be required during the application process.
GCC Resident Visa
You may qualify for a GCC Resident Visa if you are a resident of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or the United Arab Emirates). Besides, you must meet all the requirements of a visa, such as having a specific profession.
