US Passport Holders Eligible for Qatar eVisa F1 Type

From October 1, 2024, the Qatar eVisa category for US passport holders – US citizens, non-US-citizen-nationals, and American nationals – has been changed.

US travelers are no longer eligible for the A1 category, which allowed them to stay in Qatar for 30 days and could be used for entry for 3 months of issue.

Now, citizens of the United States are able to apply for the F1 type of Qatar eVisa instead.

The new category was introduced in connection with the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2024 event, taking place at the Lusail International Circuit in Doha from November 29 to December 1.

The F1 Qatar eVisa is a single-entry permit and can only be used once. Holders of this visa can enter Qatar for 30 days from the time of its approval and stay there for a maximum of 3 months.

US nationals willing to obtain the F1 visa must have a passport valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival in Qatar and hold a confirmed hotel booking on arrival.

To apply for a Qatar F1 visa online, it is necessary to fill out a form, attach the required documents, and make the payment. The fee when applying via our website is 76 QAR. Applicants receive the approved eVisa via email.

The application must be submitted at least several working days before the planned trip.
