e-Visa Turkey Application

e-Visa for Turkey: Basic Information

Turkey e-Visa is an official electronic entry permit, issued by the government of Turkey, that allows citizens from the eligible countries to travel to and within the country.

Whereas in the past all travelers to Turkey were obliged to seek a traditional Embassy visa, today, certain nationalities can apply using our website with a valid passport, a debit or credit card, and digital photos of a few other basic supporting documents. The processing time can take up to 3 business days or less, with an average of just 19 hours!

There are three possible prices for an e-Visa for Turkey: 69 Euro, 99 Euro, or 129 Euro. Pricing is based on the nationality of the applicant.

The Turkish e-Visa system can seem a bit complex if you're approaching it for the first time. At Evisa Express, our experts help you understand exactly what you need to know in order to obtain the right entry permit for your travel. We also examine every application form for completeness and accuracy, which leads to our 99% approval rate.

Read on to learn about the types of the Turkish e-Visa, the application process, and what happens after your electronic entry permit has been approved.

  • Types of Turkey e-Visa

There are two types of the Turkey e-Visa we can distinguish between. The applicant's nationality decides on which type they are eligible for. There is a:

    • single-entry permit for a 30-day stay
    • multiple-entry permit for a 90-day stay

No matter what your nationality is, a Turkey e-Visa is issued for purposes of tourism or business only. All other purposes of travel (including working for a Turkish company) require a traditional Embassy visa.

Another feature that all e-Visa types have in common is the requirement for each applicant to have a passport that will stay valid for no less than 6 months from the date of arrival in Turkey

  • Transit visa information

e-Visa is not needed for travelers who enter Turkey only to transit through to another destination. As long as you do not plan to leave the transit zone within the Turkish airport while waiting for your connecting flight, a passport is the only travel document needed.

Please note that travelers who wish to leave the transit zone of the airport must obtain an electronic visa in advance, and carry the document with them at the time of entering Turkey. For information on how to obtain this entry permit, see "e-Visa Turkey application form," above.

  • Requirements on arrival

All e-Visa holders who travel to Turkey must carry two documents with them at the time of entry:

    • a valid passport
    • a printed copy of the e-Visa

You will be asked to present each document to the Turkish customs officials, who will examine them before welcoming you into the country.
