The Dominican Republic eVisa isn’t yet available for foreign travelers. If you want to visit the Dominican Republic, you need to obtain a standard visa from the embassy. Some nationals are allowed to travel visa-free.

Regardless, you must obtain a Dominican Republic e-Ticket. Without the document, you won’t be able to cross the Dominican border. It’s mandatory for all travelers.

  • Dominican Republic Visa Application

    Before leaving for the Dominican Republic, you may be required to obtain a visa. To get the travel document, follow these few steps:

    1. Visit the nearest embassy. Find the office and schedule an appointment.
    2. Fill out the application form. Complete the questionnaire duly and truthfully.
    3. Submit the required documents. Prepare all the necessary documents.
    4. Pay the processing fee. Have some cash (terminals may not be available).

    Then, wait for the approval of your visa application. Depending on the selected visa type, the waiting time may vary between a few days to several weeks. Once it’s authorized, you will receive a notification. Collect your approved visa for the Dominican Republic in person.

  • Transit Information

    Travelers transiting through the Dominican Republic to another destination don’t need a visa if they are generally granted visa-free entry to the country.

    A Transit Visa is issued for a short period and requires the applicant to show proof of onward travel, including a valid ticket to the next destination.
