An Australian visa for Hungarian citizens (subclass 651) was introduced in an electronic form on 27 October 2008. The Australian government implemented this option to enable a convenient procedure for traveling for tourism and business purposes.
Now Hungarians don't have to deal with long paperwork, and queues, as well as attending embassies and consulates. All necessary to do is to fill out the online form, cover the visa fee and wait for the application approval.
An electronic visa to Australia is sent to the applicant's email address in the form of a PDF file. It is issued for one year (12 months) and allows numerous entries during this period. A Hungarian citizen can stay in Hungary for up to 3 months (90 days) per visit.
The requirements for an Australian eVisa are easy to meet. Bulgarians just need to have a valid passport, a working device with internet access, means of online payment, and an active email address.
The standard processing time is 72 hours, so you should submit a visa application at least 3 business days before the planned arrival date.
Hungarians don't have to attend an embassy or consulate, as they are able to apply online. This means that they don't have to stick to working hours and can submit a visa application from any place.
We prepared an instruction to make the application process even easier:
The eVisa comes as a PDF document. You don't have to make a paper copy.
The price of an Australian visa for citizens of all countries, Hungary included, is the same - 49 Euro. You can cover the processing fee online.
Our website offers the following payment options (all of them are secured) - a debit/credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, SOFORT) and PayPal.
The processing duration may differ for each application, but the standard time is 3 business days. Yet, some of our customers get their approvals on the same day.
To make speedy approval more possible, check so that your application will be free of errors. Mistakes and an incomplete form may cause delays.
Don't leave your visa application until the last moment. To have your travel permit with you on time and cross the border successfully, apply at least three days in advance of your trip.
With an Australian e-Visa, Hungarian citizens can have numerous 90-day visits throughout the year - as 12 months is the validity period of this visa.
Even if you have used all your 90 days (3 months), you still can prolong your trip. In order to do so, you must quit the country for 3 days (or more). Then you can enter Australia again and stay for another 3 months. Keep in mind that it is possible only during the validity period of your visa.
It is also important to know that an Australian visa is connected to the applicant's passport. If a passport expires, or its data changes, a visa becomes invalid. In this case, you will need to apply for a new e-Visa.
Hungarian citizens don't need to gather piles of documents in order to apply for an Australian e-Visa. They only need a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months (180 days) from the planned date of arrival.
Additional necessary things for online application include a working device - a phone, laptop, tablet, or PC, a stable internet connection, a working email address, and sufficient means to make an online payment.
