Cyprus Removes Entry Restrictions for Vaccinated Travellers in March
Amid the current worldwide coronavirus situation, the Cypriot authorities have made a decision to facilitate entry for all inbound fully vaccinated travelers starting from March 1st.
Visitors to Cyprus will need to have a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate, including the certificate confirming that they have received a booster shot.
Earlier this month, Cyprus introduced obligatory testing for all inbound visitors regardless of vaccination status.
Tourism is the main profitable sector for Cyprus' economy and the decision to remove entry restrictions for fully immunized visitors is aimed to attract more foreign travelers to choose Cyprus as their travel destination.

What will change in Cyprus from March?
Currently, all travelers who visit the island need to either provide a negative RT-PCR test result or undergo self-quarantine on arrival. From March, testing or quarantine requirements will be lifted for fully vaccinated visitors.
Vaccination certificates for travelers who have received the full vaccination dose without a booster shot will be recognized as long as it has passed not more than 9 months from receiving the second COVID-19 vaccination dose.
As an EU member, Cyprus will also recognize vaccination certificates from travelers coming from non-EU countries conforming to those certificates issued by 27 member countries of the EU.
Unvaccinated travelers arriving in Cyprus will be allowed on the island's territory but they will need to follow quarantine and testing procedures.
Simplifying COVID-19 risk assessment
From March, the Cypriot government also plans to simplify coronavirus risk assessment used to categorize nations.
Travelers who have not received the full vaccination dose and fall under the 'green' category will be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours before boarding the flight to Cyprus, or 24 hours prior to departure in case of rapid antigen testing.
Those unvaccinated classified under the 'red' countries category will be additionally subject to PCR testing upon arrival at their own expense.
In turn, the 'grey' category nationals will need to obtain special permission to be allowed on the Cypriot territory.
Cyprus Flight Pass
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cypriot government also introduced additional travel authorization for all incoming travelers - the Cyprus Flight Pass.
This digital health form requires travelers to provide all essential data which can help the country's authorities to track potential coronavirus infections. This way, it is possible to immediately take protective measures and stop the further spread of the virus.
The form is obligatory for everyone planning to visit Cyprus. Every traveler should complete the online form 48 hours prior to the departure time.
