Nigeria e-Visa Information

The Nigeria e-Visa is an electronic visa obtainable entirely online that allows its holders to stay in Nigeria for tourism, business, and transit purposes. The electronic visa system was introduced in Nigeria to help foreign travelers visit this African country in the most effortless way possible.

Applicants can choose between three types. There is a single-entry tourist permit as well as a business-type online visa valid for 90 days. The third online Nigeria visa type is a 7-day transit visa.

All eligible travelers can now facilitate the process of handling their travel authorization documents using the Nigeria e-Visa system by simply filling out an online application form. Travelers can use any working device to apply for the Nigeria visa online and receive their entry permit via email.

  • Types of Nigeria e-Visa

Nigerian online visa comes in three types; each one serves for a different purpose of usage.

Travelers from the eligible countries can submit an online application for any of the following:

    • Tourist e-Visa – a single-entry permit, which can be used for all tourism-related purposes, such as going on vacation, going on a safari trip, visiting friends and family, or simply exploring the country.

    • Business e-Visa – also comes in the form of a single-entry permit. Perfect for all entrepreneurs that need to handle their business affairs in Nigeria. Negotiate contracts, look for new cooperation opportunities, or go on a business trip.

    • Transit e-Visa – is an entry permit that allows its holders to travel through Nigeria to get to their final destination.

Tourist and business online visas stay valid for 90 days (three months) from the date of issue.

The transit e-Visa stays effective for 7 days from issuing.
