An eVisa to Myanmar / Burma is an electronic document that authorizes travel to Myanmar. Common recipients are tourists and businesspeople.

  • Types of eVisa

    There are two types of eVisa to Myanmar / Burma:

    Tourist eVisa– single entry visa for tourism purposes (a holiday, visiting friends or relatives, etc.) Good for stays of up to 28 days. Valid for up to 3 months from the date of issue, and must be used within 90 days from the date of approval.

    Business eVisa – single entry visa for business purposes (taking part in a conference, negotiating a business contract, etc.) Good for stays of up to 70 days. Valid for up to 3 months from the date of issue, and must be used within 90 days from the date of approval.

    If your country of citizenship is not listed, it is necessary to apply for a standard embassy visa in order to visit Myanmar / Burma.

    Citizens of the following countries are exempt from visa requirements:
    Brunei – for visits of up to 14 days
    Cambodia – for visits of up to 14 days
    Indonesia – for visits of up to 14 days
    Laos – for visits of up to 14 days
    Philippines – for visits of up to 14 days
    Thailand – for visits of up to 14 days
    Singapore – for visits of up to 30 days
    Vietnam – for visits of up to 14 days

    Prospective travelers to Myanmar / Burma who wish to enter by any point not listed above, including all sea ports, must apply for a standard embassy visa.

  • eVisa to Myanmar / Burma Application Form

  • eVisa Validity Period

    All eVisas to Myanmar / Burma are single entry visas, good for stays of up to 28 days for tourism purposes and up to 70 days for business purposes. All eVisas are valid for up to 3 months from the date of issue, and must be used within 90 days from the date of approval.

  • eVisa Transit Information

    All holders of passports from eligible countries must be in possession of an eVisa in order to transit through Myanmar / Burma.

  • Requirements on Arrival

    All you need to apply for an eVisa is a valid passport from an eligible country. Before your journey, you must print a copy of your eVisa, which will be presented to travel authorities at your point of arrival. Your eVisa may be printed in black and white.

    – Invitation letter from the Myanma / Burmese company with which applicant intends to cooperate
    – Company registration certificate from Myanma / Burmese with which applicant intends to cooperate
