    • proof of health insurance for the period of stay in Moldova

Required Documents

The required documents differ according to which online visa type should you choose. For different purposes of stay in Moldova, various supporting documents are needed to prove that your visit is valid.

Two documents are required for every type of the electronic visa selected, and these are:

  • a valid passport issued in the last 10 years that will not expire for at least 3 months beyond the planned date of leaving Moldova
  • applicant's face photo (that can be easily taken using a phone or a PC camera)

Other documents that are needed for every online visa type besides the Official Mission (C/MI) type:

  • proof of purchased travel insurance valid in the Republic of Moldova (covering at least 30 000 EUR)
  • evidence of sufficient funds for the trip: at least 30 EUR per day (for stays shorter than 10 days, the sufficient funds cannot be less than 300 EUR) or the commitment of maintenance and accommodation (filled and signed by a person from Moldova)
  • proof of reservation of the tourist accommodation unit in Moldova classified by the law (or a commitment of maintenance and accommodation by a person from Moldova)
  • an invitation issued by the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, or proof of having a residence permit or a valid visa in any of the EU country, or any of the Schengen Area country (not applicable for the transit eVisa)

The Official Mission (C/MI):

Aside from the two documents described above (applicable to all online visa types), each traveler applying for an Official Mission (C/MI) entry permit needs to have:

  • a verbal note or an official letter addressed to either: the diplomatic mission or consulate of Moldova, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.

The letter must be written on behalf of one of the following institutions: the government or any other authority in the applicant's state of residence, or an international organization. The letter must verify the applicant's official status and the official purpose of the travel.

Tourism (C/T):

Additional supporting documents for the tourist eVisa besides the previously described ones are:

  • a tourist itinerary (or the commitment of maintenance by a Moldovan person)
  • a copy of the round-trip ticket (or a driving license, green card, registration documents of the vehicle, if traveling by car)

Visit (C/V):

For the visit (C/V) online visa type, the requirements are as for the tourism entry permit. The only document not necessary for the visit one is the tourist itinerary.

Business (C/A):

All travelers wishing to visit Moldova for business purposes need an invitation from either: a company, non-governmental organization, or a public authority that verifies the applicant's participation in business meetings, conferences, or congresses and fairs related to trade and industry.

Transport (CT/S):

For the transport online visa, each applicant must attach additional supporting documents besides the documents applicable to every type of the Moldovan entry permit. Please prepare:

  • documents stating the applicant's job and the work that is to be carried out during the stay
  • driving license, green card, and the vehicle's registration documents
  • an official copy of the transport company license

Sports activities (C/S):

Aside from the requirements described earlier (applicable to all online visa types), travelers who need to visit Moldavia for sports activities need to attach the following documents to their application:

  • an official list of the foreign delegation stating the position of each member of the team
  • proof of a booked round-trip ticket

Cultural, scientific, and humanitarian activities (C/AD)

For this electronic visa type, the same requirements are applicable as for the Visit (C/V) entry permit.
