Indonesia e-Visa Application

Indonesia e-Visa information

Indonesia visa can be issued either as an e-Visa or an e-VOA. The Indonesian Government introduced the electronic visa system to facilitate the process of obtaining visas and eliminating the need to visit a diplomatic mission in person, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Indonesian electronic visa is currently being issued for tourism, leisure, business, and transit purposes.

A holder of the e-Visa for Indonesia may stay for up to 60 days in the country, while the e-VOA enables staying in the country for 30 days with the possibility of extending the stay by another 30 days. Both visas must be used within 90 days from the date of issue.

By applying with Evisa Express, you just need to fill out a short online form and submit an online application within minutes. It will be also necessary to upload some additional documents and cover the processing visa fee. The approved e-Visa will then be delivered directly to your email address provided in the application form.

Applying for an Indonesian visa online eliminates the need to spend long hours waiting to cover the visa fee. Upon your arrival in Indonesia, you need to know that an e-VOA needs to be stamped on your passport.

Please remember to submit your visa application at least 10 business days in advance of your intended trip or as soon as you have all the travel details necessary for visa application.

  • Types of Indonesia visas

    Indonesia e-Visa

Indonesia electronic visa is currently issued as a single-entry visa for the following purposes:

    • tourism: visiting Indonesia for all kinds of leisure-related activities, i.e., sightseeing, vacation, family or friend reunions, sporting and cultural events.
    • business: visiting Indonesia for different business activities, e.g., government business, contract negotiations, participation in business meetings, conferences, exhibitions (as an attendee), and purchasing goods.
    • transit: making a transit stop before reaching the final destination.

A holder of an Indonesia e-Visa is permitted to enter the country one time and stay there for up to 60 days.

Travelers who plan to visit Indonesia or Bali for purposes not covered by the Indonesian e-Visa, including permanent employment, should contact the nearest Indonesian diplomatic post to obtain a relevant visa or permit.

    Indonesia e-VOA

Indonesia also offers a single-entry electronic visa on arrival that can be applied online. The e-VOA, however, must be stamped upon the traveler's arrival in the country.

Its holder is permitted a 30-day stay which can be extended by another 30 days. The visa must be used within 90 days from the date of its approval.
