Indonesia e-Visa Application

Indonesia e-Visa information

Indonesia e-Visa is an electronic visa that was introduced by the Indonesian Government in October 2020. Its introduction was aimed at facilitating the visa application process and eliminating the need to visit a diplomatic mission in person, especially during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The Indonesian electronic visa is currently being issued for tourists and business travelers coming from countries whose governments have agreed on travel corridors with Indonesia. Indonesian e-Visa is also granted to investors, civil servants, and skilled workers.

At the moment, the Indonesian authorities require foreign visitors to have a local sponsor granting them permission to enter Indonesia or Bali. Eligible applicants can use our agency to obtain an Indonesia visa entirely online.

By applying with Evisa Express, you just need to fill out a short online form and submit an online application within minutes. It will also be necessary to upload some additional documents and cover the processing visa fee.

The approved e-Visa will then be delivered directly to your email address provided in the application form.

Please remember to submit your e-Visa application at least 10 business days in advance of your intended trip or as soon as you have all travel details necessary for visa application.

  • Types of Indonesia e-Visa

Indonesia e-Visa is currently issued as a single-entry visa for the following purposes:

    • tourism: visiting Indonesia for all kinds of leisure-related activities, i.e., sightseeing, vacation, family or friend reunions.
    • business: visiting Indonesia for different business activities, e.g., contract negotiations, business meetings, conferences, looking for potential business partners, excluding employment purposes.

A holder of an Indonesia e-Visa is permitted to enter the country only once and stay there up to 60 days throughout the entire 3-month validity period.

Travelers who plan to visit Indonesia or Bali for purposes not covered by the Indonesian e-Visa, including permanent employment, should contact the nearest Indonesian diplomatic post to obtain a relevant visa or permit.

Indonesia e-Visa is a single-entry visa and enables entering the country only once. If you wish to come back to the country, you will need to apply for a new e-Visa.

You do not need to obtain a visa to transit through the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport as long as your transit will not exceed 24 hours or 8 hours when transiting through other Indonesian airports.

If you are a national of a non-visa-exempt country and will be passing through Ngurah Rai International Airport, you will need to have a transit visa.
