The Chad eVisa is an electronic visa issued online for eligible international visitors. It’s required from all non-visa-exempt countries.

The approved electronic visa for Chad is valid for 90 days and allows the traveler to enter Chad multiple times.

It’s issued for travel related to tourism, leisure, business, participation in sports events, etc.

The online application for Chad eVisa is very simple and straightforward. It consists of three steps: completing the form, uploading the documents, and paying the fee.

Applicants must prepare the required documentation, such as a passport valid for at least 6 months, flight tickets for return travel, and other supporting documents.

IMPORTANT: First-time visitors to Chad need to get a registration stamp from the police within 72 hours of arrival. They also must have two additional face photos. The requirement applies to tourists and humanitarian/aid workers.

    A visa-free entry to Chad is granted to citizens of Barbados, Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominica, Gabon, Gambia, Haiti, Hong Kong, Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritius, Micronesia, Niger, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Singapore, and Suriname.

  • Validity Period

    The Chad eVisa has a validity of 90 days. During this period, the traveler can enter the country multiple times as long as the visa is effective.

    It’s possible to prolong the electronic visa validity by visiting the immigration office in Chad. However, the extension is up to the decision of the Chad authorities.

  • Transit Information

    In case of passing through Chad to another destination, you’re required to obtain a suitable Transit Visa (unless you come from a visa-exempt country).

  • Requirements on Arrival

    On arrival in Chad, you’ll be asked to present the following documents:

    • Approved Chad visa (Chad eVisa)
    • Passport valid for at least 6 months

    Travelers entering the country for the first time must visit the police station and register their stay in Chad. To do so, they need two copies of their face photographs.

    Visitors coming from high-transmission risk countries must have a certificate of yellow fever vaccination as well.
