Brazil eVisa Application

Brazil eVisa: Basic Information

The Brazil eVisa is an electronic visa that was implemented in November of 2017. Since then, it has been making the Brazil visa handling experience much easier.

The online application for the Brazilian visa was suspended for a while, but the Brazilian government re-introduced the eVisa system for three nationalities, including Australia, Canada, and the United States.

Nationals of the said three countries need to apply for a Brazil eVisa to enter the country from April 10th, 2025.

With the multiple-entry visa obtained online, travelers are granted entry into Brazil for up to 90 days (three months), while the issued eVisas have a one-year-long validity period.

The approved Brazil online visa can be used for the purposes of tourism, business and transit

To apply for an eVisa for Brazil, a valid passport and any working device with an internet connection will be needed. Also, there are a number of supporting documents that travelers from Australia, Canada, and the U.S. need to upload.

Filling out the application form with the necessary data and making an online payment should take just a few minutes.

The processing time may take up to 5 business days. However, applicants are recommended to apply for a Brazil visa online even 2 months prior to the date of a planned trip to ensure peace of mind and visa arrival on time.

Once processed, the Brazil eVisa is sent to each applicant via email. The approved visa should be printed out and shown upon arrival in Brazil.

Brazil eVisa types

Brazil offers one online visa type for all eligible travelers, and that is a multiple-entry permit for a 90-day stay.

The eVisa allows its holders to visit Brazil for the purposes of tourism, business, and transit.

It's perfect for visiting your friends and family, going on vacation, exploring the country as a tourist, looking for some new cooperation opportunities, handling business affairs, or reaching your final destination with a stop in Brazil.

eVisa stays valid for one year (12 months) from the online visa issue date. Make sure to visit Brazil within that time!
